Raiffeisen 2018 — Event Opener
Iggy Pacanowski designs and animates intro sequence and countdown for Raiffeisen Polbank conference in 2018.
Raiffeisen Polbank event is one of the most advanced bank corporate events held in Eastern Europe – where every year hundreds of Raiffeisen Polbank employees head down to MTPolska Hall to have their minds blown with exquisite live visual show combined with motivational speech from the CEO Piotr Czarnecki.
This time around, Especto with event manager John Zmuda reached out to his favorite motion designer Mr. Pacanowski to work on the most important part of the show – an Opener, a spectacle of light, animation, and typography at a scale that would inspire and propel beyond anything they’ve done before.
Raiffeisen Polbank — Event Opener
The goal was to create a motivational piece that would take employees through entire history of the bank, from its inception, struggles, into years of prosper, until the very end of it - year 2018, when it was planned to merge with another bank - BGZ BNP PARIBAS
Having just a week, concept was quickly sketched in the head of Mr. Pacanowski, where he envisioned Vaults as the core visual theme. This is a bank after all.
History of the bank was divided into 4 sequences, each slightly different, responding to the current time. Each with its own ambience and feel.
Just before starting the show 20 second countdown is played to ensure that everyone has time to sit down, and enjoy the visual experience. This is very important element of the show.
This particular countdown was created in Adobe After Effects.
Starting from the ground up, creation of the Opener involved team of professionals collaborating together to ensure proper delivery. John Zmuda was responsible for synchronization of all parties involved.
It all started with basic paper sketch, top view on the layout of the vaults. After which process of detailing began. Each sequence was using different creative assets from the client, such as vintage logos, old website UXs, posters.
Having just a week to compile 3D animation, in 4K resolution required very precise planning and production. Drop’N’Render farm was used for the final delivery.
Animation was also relying on typography to extended its meaning, with the Futura as the font of the choice.
